Ship Life: But What Do You Do On A Cruise???

An often asked question in the cruise groups is 'but what do you do all day on the ship?' and when we were planning our first cruise, it was one of the Lord's biggest worries- will I be bored?

Well, thanks to Carnival's horrendous decision to start handing out printed copies of the Fun Times to every single room, every single day, I have that answer for you!

Check out our daily Fun Times from a cruise in April on the Legend.

...just a little digression on the printed Fun Times... I know that a lot of old timers really wanted them to bring back the physical copies, but they're not great for the environment- and I find the disclaimer at the bottom of the Fun Times saying that Carnival is committed to being eco-friendly friendly completely hilarious. But I also don't find them practical. Why would we carry around the piece of paper when we have all that same information- but more detailed- available on the tiny computer we carry with us always? Especially since the Hub app allows you to 'heart' events which will then send you an alert 30 minutes before the event starts- which is great for people like me who can get caught up at the craps table and lose all sense of time! I really feel like there should be some sort of balance there- maybe have people choose whether or not they want the physical Fun Times during online check in, just like choosing your bedding set up? I can guarantee, though, that at some point in the future they will be completely phased out, just like phone books and paper maps.
